Readers may also be interested that many years before Fairtrade existed, we imported almost 3 tonnes of instant coffee from Tanzania to the UK to help support manufacturing in the Third World. Last week BBC radio interviewed me about our ‘Campaign Coffee’, that helped to start the idea of ethically sourced coffee in Great Britain. The broadcast is now available on YouTube (4 minutes):

Thanks Emma for your blog ~ it was very interesting to hear about the workings of the Shared Interest office ~ and I am pleased that you could understand the money and accounts, you must be really good at maths, because I always found book-keeping interesting at school, but sometimes it took a long time to get all the figures to balance !!

Your blog was really good ~ and now you can tell loads of friends, and their parents (!) about investing with Shared Interest ~ and what a difference it makes to people’s lives. Thanks again
