By now, you will have all received your invitation to the regional ambassador training and member event. A session of your training and networking time has been structured around Fairtrade Fortnight 2010. This will focus on identifying opportunities and activities in which you can partake or create in your local area.
Prior to these events, I would like all of you to think of some ideas for ambassador activity in your area during Fairtrade Fortnight, which runs from 22nd February to 7th March 2010. Even if you are unable to attend one of these regional sessions, your input is greatly valued and feedback regarding these sessions will be passed on to you. I would therefore request that those of you who are unable to attend please send me your ideas for Fairtrade Fortnight activities and we will share these with everyone at these sessions.
To give you some ideas for inspiration, please look at the Fairtrade Foundation website to look at what people did this year. Also, the fair trade football match photograph is an example of an event organised by a Shared Interest member during last year’s Fairtrade Fortnight.
