Fundraising Update From The Shared Interest Foundation

Below is a short update on the Foundations New Year fundraising efforts:

Grants

The Foundation has received a lovely New Year surprise and has been awarded £500 from the Dorema Charitable Trust. Let’s hope this is the start of the hundreds of donations the Foundation will be receiving in 2009!

Kilimanjaro

Well as you will all be aware the Kilimanjaro climb in looming with only 4 weeks to go! So I thought I would give you a quick update on where we are up to on the fundraising front:

Fundraising target:

£10,000.00

Donations so far:

£6,270.00

Still needed:                                 £3,730

If you would like to sponsor us please visit our just giving site http://www.justgiving.com/andreawilkinson-kilimanjaro.

Feel free to pass on this link onto anyone you think may be interested in sponsoring us as we would love to hit our target before we set off for the trek!

Big Lottery Fund

We are on track with our Big Lottery Fund grant and have just received our next instalment of the grant  £32,523 which will cover the next part of the Rwandan Producer Support Project.

Neil and I will be heading out to Rwanda on the 16th January to launch the project and help with the preparations and smooth running of the training. Our 16 trainers who have undergone intensive training over the last 4 months will put their new training package into action as they train 30 producer handicraft organisations from throughout the country. I will be blogging whilst out there so look out for daily updates from the field!

If you have any questions feel free to drop me an email.
